Celebrating Ather’s 10th Anniversary, the 450 Apex Limited Edition electric scooter will be launched soon; Bookings open for a token amount of Rs. 2,500

Ather Energy has shared multiple teasers of a new electric scooter across its social media handles and the bookings for the same are now open. The e-scooter in question is a limited edition model based on the top-spec 450X which will be introduced to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Ather brand.

Dubbed Ather 450 Apex, the two-wheeler will pack more punch and features over the regular 450X. While the launch is expected very soon, the bookings of the 450 Apex are now open for a fully refundable token amount of Rs. 2,500. Let’s have a look at the details of the upcoming Ather 450 Apex.

To begin with, being a limited edition model, it will likely be sold for a limited time period or maybe limited numbers to maintain the exclusivity. As per the brand’s website, the deliveries will start from March 2024 and the price will be announced at the time of launch. While the teasers have not revealed any important details, the 450 Apex is bound to get some visual upgrades over the regular model.

In addition to this, it will also pack more performance as the official website mentions an additional Warp+ mode, over the Eco, Ride and Sport in the regular model. This new mode could allow for faster acceleration, thus cutting down on the current 0-40 kmph timing of 3.3 seconds.

The battery capacity of 3.7 kWh is expected to remain the same, however, there could be a slight bump in power figures as compared to 450X’s 6.4 kW peak output. This means that the range could be affected and Ather may limit the use of Warp+ mode to preserve battery. The teaser also hints at a stronger regenerative braking system and we expect it to have multiple modes for battery regeneration.

In terms of design, the e-scooter will sport transparent body panels making it very unique and one-of-a-kind. A few hints regarding the same were also dropped by the brand’s CEO Tarun Mehta in his tweets on X (formerly Twitter). Talking about the pricing, the Ather 450 Apex is expected to carry a slight premium of around Rs. 10,000 over the current top-spec 450X. Once launched, the new 450 Apex will sit on the top of Ather line-up.
