Brands like Bajaj Auto, KTM and Triumph are set to launch new 400 cc motorcycles in India. Here is an overview of these upcoming models
Bajaj Auto, KTM, and Triumph are expected to introduce new 400 cc motorcycles in the domestic market this year and in 2025. Some of these models have already been spotted undergoing testing both in India and abroad. Here are all the known details about these upcoming motorcycles:
1. Triumph Thruxton 400 cc:
Triumph Motorcycles has enjoyed significant success with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X both in India and internationally. The lineup, which appeals to a wide audience, will soon be expanded with the addition of a new semi-faired variant, potentially named the Thruxton 400. This motorcycle, which has been spotted testing multiple times, will be powered by the well-known 398 cc liquid-cooled engine.

The semi-faired design of the upcoming motorcycle draws inspiration from the Speed Triple RR. It is expected to be positioned between the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X, with an estimated price of around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Notable features include a slipper and assist clutch, dual-channel ABS, a semi-digital instrument cluster, lower set clip-ons, and upside-down front forks.
2. New KTM 390 Adventure, 390 RC:
The next-generation KTM 390 RC has already been spotted testing abroad, but before its official debut, KTM is likely to introduce the new 390 Adventure, aimed at competing directly with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Additionally, the 390 Enduro, which has also been seen in near-production form in India, may launch alongside it.

Both motorcycles will utilise the same 399 cc liquid-cooled engine featured in the latest 390 Duke. We anticipate that the adventure duo will make their global debut at the EICMA event in Milan later this year. Consequently, their launch in India could occur in the subsequent months.
3. Bajaj RS 400:

Bajaj Auto recently launched the Pulsar NS400 Z, and there are indications that the 400 cc Pulsar lineup may expand further. A potential addition could be a fully-faired 400 cc version of the RS 200, which might become the flagship Pulsar model, likely priced around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, Bajaj might introduce an adventure tourer or a semi-faired model. While there are numerous possibilities, no official confirmation has been made yet.
