A long list of compact SUVs are waiting to launch in India over the next 12 months or so and here we have explained about the upcoming ones
Brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, Toyota, Skoda and MG are planning to bring in new compact SUVs over the next year or so in India. Here we have brought you a rundown:
1. Mahindra XUV300 Facelift & XUV300 EV:

In the coming months, Mahindra will bring in the facelifted XUV300 and it will be followed by the XUV300 EV in the second or third quarter of this CY. The updated ICE XUV300 will get big revisions inside and out and it will continue to use the 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. A new automatic transmission will be offered too. The EV, on the other hand, will feature the smaller battery pack found in the XUV400.
2. Toyota Taisor:

The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is expected to go on sale in the coming months and it will have minor exterior and interior changes compared to its donor. The powertrain and transmission lineup as well as the interior and features list will also be borrowed from the Fronx.
3. Skoda Compact SUV:

By the end of this FY, Skoda will more likely launch its sub-four-metre SUV under the India 2.5 project. It will be heavily localised to carry competitive pricing and will draw design inspiration from the latest crop of Skoda SUVs sold globally. It will be powered by a 1.0L turbo petrol engine found in the Kushaq and Taigun, paired with MT and AT options.
4. Next-Gen Hyundai Venue:

The second generation Hyundai Venue is speculated to arrive in H1 2025 and it will boast a thoroughly redesigned exterior and interior. The equipment list will also be upgraded and the existing engine choices could be carried over.
5. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift:

The facelifted Maruti Suzuki Fronx is said to arrive in 2025 and it will become the first model to be equipped with the locally developed HEV system. It will work in tandem with the upcoming 1.2L Z series petrol engine to enable a claimed mileage of over 35 kmpl.
6. Kia Clavis (AY):

The Kia Clavis is expected to make its global debut in India later this year before going on sale in early 2025. It will be another compact SUV from Kia but will be positioned above the Sonet with a rugged exterior design and a more spacious interior. It will be retailed in electric, petrol and hybrid guises down the line.
7. MG Comet Based Compact SUV:

The Comet-based sub-four-metre SUV from MG is rumoured to launch sometime in the first half of 2025 and it will be positioned below the Hector. It will be underpinned by the same platform as the Comet and will compete with Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3.
