Moon gazing is often one of the must-do activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Nowadays, both experienced photographers and amateur enthusiasts can grab their cameras to capture captivating views of the full moon during this special occasion, adding a modern twist to the ancient tradition. And in some places, a bright round “supermoon” will also be visible to the naked eye. This occurs when a full moon coincides with the moon’s closest approach to Earth in its orbit, known as perigee. This causes the moon to appear larger and brighter than usual, making it a fantastic subject for awe-inspiring photography.
