Honda is expanding its electric vehicle line-up in China and in line with this, the new Ye S7 EV SUV is finally out in full flesh. The electric SUV is a part of the Japanese brand’s new Ye range of BEVs comprising the P7 and S7 SUVs along with the GT Concept sedan. The Ye S7 was first previewed at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show followed by its reveal on China’s MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) website. Since the official images of the electric SUV are out, let’s have a look at its details.

Talking about the design, the electric SUV sports a sharp front fascia characterised by Y-shaped LED headlamps along with a full-width LED DRL. Towards the sides, we can spot the flush door handles and camera-based ORVMs, replacing the conventional mirrors. In addition to this, aero-efficient wheels are also a part of the package. The rear profile gets vertical LED elements, joined by a full-width LED DRL, thereby forming the letter H-shaped signature.

Inside the cabin, a large vertically mounted infotainment system and a small driver’s display are paired with a multi-layer dashboard layout. Features like an electronic parking brake, a large dual sunroof, ambient lighting and more are clearly visible.

The Ye S7 is based on a born-electric platform and will come with two battery pack options. This includes a 268 bhp single-motor RWD setup and an AWD dual-motor setup putting out 469 bhp. While the claimed range and exact battery pack specifications are under wraps, earlier media reports suggested that the EV will come with a claimed range of over 500 kilometres on a single charge. The Ye S7 will use a CATL-sourced ternary lithium battery pack.
